About the Role
This Role is part of the Merchant Core teamwho is responsible to be the advocate of merchants and be the business counterpart for the Platform PDG team. The domain of the role includes business, strategy and planning to determine & manage the Merchant platform’s roadmap and the roll-out & go-to market strategy. The role will also serve as the proxy for Sales, Ops, Marketing, and other non PDG functions in GoJek and provide input to Merchant Platform PDG to design platform products.
Specifically for Merchant Core Financial stream (See slide 9), the team, together with his/her PDG counterparts, shall make sure to resolve these problem areas for partners and merchants: 1. Reliability of payouts 2. Liquidity of the merchant wallet (increasing the available balance of the merchant) 3. Reporting across orders and transactions for merchants and partners 4. Efficiency of internal operations
The role will report to the Head of Merchant CoreFinancial Stream.
What You Will Do
Oversee and manage the full product lifecycle of Financial products for merchants
Envision and establish product direction, roadmap and strategy to resolve the mentioned problem areas, thereby helping Gojek, partners and merchants to grow
Create & get buy-in for business cases and plans for the necessary products and their feature enhancements. This includes leveraging market understanding, competitive insights and strong understanding of partners’ & merchants’ needs.
Formulate, execute & manage go-to market strategy & plan for the respective products and their feature enhancements
Establish & manage performance, monitoring & health metrics & reports that facilitate growth and continuous improvement
Be the orchestrator and integrator of the different teams within & outside of Merchant Platform to ensure that project moves forward & runs according to its validated vision & roadmap
Be the voice and subject matter expert of anything merchants & partners to internal stakeholders, thereby helping the team to build the right & relevant product
What You Will Need
An individual with business and strategic planning capability
An individual with ability to build executable plans, with an effective execution framework using limited tools/resources at hand given that the scope is an incubation business.
An individual with experiences in business incubation at startups, formulation business ideas into pilot executions are prefered.
An individual with good interpersonal and collaboration skill, have a good balance of strategic thinking < > tactical execution strategy < > execution itself
An individual with exceptional ability to build an-easy-to-understand dashboard for decision making, execution progress tracker as well as extracting insights from data
An individual with good project management skill and ability to work through other people using impact and influence approach instead of direct authority instruction approach.
An individual with exceptional people management skill as well as stakeholder management
An individual with the ability to understand how technology products work, link it to overall business strategy and resulting in product/business improvement / new ideas.
About the Team Our Merchant Centralized Partner Platform is a small family of 10 people spread out across Jakarta and Yogyakarta. As one of the key stakeholders in the Gojek ecosystem, our merchant-partners are involved in various offerings, such as food delivery, offline payment acceptance, POS, financial services, deals, and promotions. We run various integrations with strategic partners and strive to add value for our merchant-partners in everything we do. It's our job to take care of all things to do with partnerships and integrations within the merchant domain for our region, and work to ensure they're all running seamlessly and optimally. Most recently, our team managed to expand our scope to include running integrations for a new vertical within the company. Right now, the big question we’re trying to solve is: how can we drive the adoption rates for our partners who've already been onboarded? While our team is based all over the region, we are a tight-knit group who are bonded by two things: our genuine desire to add value to the lives of our merchant-partners, and the vision to become the preferred partner amongst all merchants in our area. Our team enjoys what we do since we get to see the impact of our work reflected in our merchant-partners' everyday lives and business processes.
