About the Role
As our Global Employee Relations & People Policies [ERPP] Head based in Jakarta, you'll combine legal, psychological, and business acumen to oversee all employee policies and employee-relations matters at Gojek. Working closely with the larger People & Culture team spread out across the region, you'll ensure all HR-owned policies are compliant with local and national standards and reflect the company's priorities and values.
You'll also collaborate with the People Business Partner (HRBP) community and other stakeholders to drive the delivery and deployment of ER programs, such as investigation and audit processes and labor compliance training, and manage sensitive employee issues. Your efforts will ensure all our GoTroops have the same Gojek experience regardless of where they are located and are given a safe, positive, and productive work environment to thrive in.
What You’ll Do
    • Be the subject matter expert on all HR policies at Gojek; collaborate with internal and external PAC stakeholders to ensure all employee policies irrespective of direct ownership are compliant with local and national statutory standards
    • Monitor any changes and overall compliance standards of the business environment, legislation, and regulatory standards that may affect HR policies and processes
    • Develop systematic feedback mechanisms for evaluating policy impact and effectiveness, and mechanisms for respective policy updates and changes, taken into account evolving organizational goals and needs
    • Build an online repository of HR Policy documents for easy access and retrieval
    • Be the primary owner of ER programs, such as investigations and audits process while working through the People Business Partner community to drive investigations and manage sensitive employee issues; lead the education and training of managers and employees on critical employee relations elements & labor compliance training
    • Develop metrics and leverage on analytics to track the progress of ER programs and create comprehensive review decks for the Leadership team
What You'll Need
    • At least 9 years of working experience in Human Resources, with at least 4 years of leadership experience
    • Knowledge of Employee/Industrial Relations and labor laws in Southeast Asia
    • Possesses professional maturity and responsiveness in dealing with people-related tasks
    • Strong organizational, critical-thinking, and relationship-building skills; able to build consensus and make tough decisions
    • A proactive attitude; able to see around corners to develop policies and programs in advance
    • Experience in Program/Project Management
    • Familiar with data analytics and interpretation
About the Team
Our Global Employee Relations and People Policy (ERPP) team is a newly created group that's part of the larger People and Culture (HR) team at Gojek. The gist of our role is to establish and manage all of Gojek's HR policies and processes, thereby ensuring a safe, fun, and productive employee experience for our GoTroops. Our team's efforts and collaborations span over various countries in this region, including Indonesia, Singapore, India, Thailand, and Vietnam.
Still, in its early stages, this team comprises two individuals (you'd be the third!) who play pivotal roles in guiding the HR functions and establishing a safe and vibrant workplace for all. We don't just create HR policies for the sake of ticking the task off a list. We create them to enhance our employee experience, look out for our employees' wellbeing, and simultaneously meet stipulated business requirements. We combine legal, human psychology, and business acumen to get the job done.
We’re a high-performing, tight-knit team committed to ensuring a safe work environment for our GoTroops, as well as each other’s personal growths and wellbeing. Pre-Covid, our team would enjoy catching up over a round of drinks after work.
