The Power Grids business offers power and automation products, systems, service and software solutions across the generation, transmission and distribution value chain. Ensure profit & loss and business growth covering the life cycle management of complete range Products & Services for High Voltage Business Line. Manage Local Operating Unit (OU), ensure HSE compliance, build local competencies within OU. Define & agree OU strategy with stakeholders. Driving customer satisfaction through professionalism & quality of services offered & rendered. Provide differentiation for High Voltage Products.

Your responsibilities

  • Implements the Global Product Groups strategy in the HUB, and ensures business development, including profit and loss (P&L), in domestic and allocated market. Provides input to Global Product Groups strategy.
  • Participates in HUB Business Unit strategy development in partnership with HUB management team. Implement & Drive the Global Business Unit and Global Product groups strategy in the operating unit with HUB collaboration and guidance.
  • Ensures development of performance targets in line with Global & HUB targets and ensures achievement through regular supervision and definition of improvement actions as needed. Achieve the financial as well as operational performance target set for Operating Unit.
  • Work on continuous improvement to achieve operational excellence and cost savings on the whole value chain to improve the bottom-line performance. Drive the culture of performance within the organization.
  • Evaluates market opportunities, create right awareness for services within installed base, development unexplored business & white spots and decides appropriate activities ahead of competition in line with HUB/GPGs strategy. In collaboration with the Service Sales Manager and/or Service Manager implements Service sales strategy.
  • Ensures profitable business growth in the domestic and allocated market. Ensures profitable business growth in line with the targets set by the HUB. Work on the avenues continuously to achieve cost reduction and meet the competitive business challenges.
  • Oversee and ensure quality of execution (Services, processes, life cycle products, Extensions & Retrofits). Monitor quality metrics, identifies opportunities for improvement in local execution, and oversees improvement activities.
  • Enhance the culture of Quality & Safety within the operating unit. Implement and use all the tools & processes available within the organization for improvement of Quality.
  • Ensures the execution of projects according to agreed targets in terms of schedule, quality, financial results, and customer satisfaction.
  • Oversees relevant local Research and Development initiatives. Collaborate with local & global R&D team to ensure that the R&D activities and plans are aligned to the midterm and long-term strategy of the HUB/BU.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with new and existing customers to ensure long lasting customer satisfaction.
  • Ensures (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Guides, motivates, and develops direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies.

Your background

  • A Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Technology/Engineering.
  • Minimum 1015 years of experience in handling a Profit & Loss business. Exposure to service business or High Voltage Products or Substations will be advantageous.
  • Exposure to Strategic & result orientation.
  • Should have in-depth knowledge of Market & customers.
  • Have an Insight on Safety & Quality, Teamwork and Collaboration, People Development,
  • Have an Insight on Personal & Change Leadership, Intercultural Sensitivity & Effectiveness. Customer engagement & relations.
