Job Role:

Legal

Job Description: Objective of the role: Monitoring company legal affairs, ensuring to comply with all laws and regulations, including providing high quality legal advice to Management and the team on a variety of challenging operational and legal issues, fostering a culture of legal compliance, advocating for ethics & compliance at all levels, and building relationships with external legal advisor. The role will be reporting to: Legal Dept Head
Please note that due to nature of business, the office runs working from office policy. Legal risks:

• Review and provide legal advice regarding MOUs, contracts and tender documents (if necessary).
• Review ongoing cases and provide appropriate advice to management.
• Work closely with relevant departments to ensure that when legal risks are identified, appropriate action is taken.
• Providing legal protection and risk management advice to management, especially in contract management.
• Provide and interpret legal information, conduct training and disseminate appropriate legal requirements to staff.

Policy development:

• Review and advise management on the legal implications of internal policies and procedures.
• Review and draft internal contracts, agreements and policies and ensure that they comply with all legal requirements in the country of work.

Litigation Management:

• Review ongoing litigation progress and engage and manage external lawyers.
• Identify local needs and develop efficient smart resource solutions including development of outside advisory networks and pro-bono liaison

Compliance with regulations:

• Formulate a legal compliance checklist to ensure that all necessary information is provided as is.
• Monitor compliance with legal obligations and provide appropriate advice to management on an ongoing basis.
• Prepares monthly and quarterly departmental reports for executive management meetings.

Contract Negotiation:

• Review all contracts or other documentation where the company has committed and assess the legal implications that need to be communicated to senior management.
• Prepare, review and modify contracts to assist and support various business activities.
• Provide guidance on contract issues to project managers or other operational staff as needed.
• Develop and implement procedures for contract management and administration in accordance with company policy.
• Negotiate, review and design documentation for business transactions and prepare and provide advice on checklists that need to be adopted to ensure information is delivered on time.

Job Requirements:

• achelor of Laws, having a Masters degree is a plus
• 3-5 (three to five) years experience in a law firm or multinational organization (private sector or NGO) in a related position.
• Have worked in the lab or the healthcare industry is a plus.
• Demonstrate knowledge of, and experience with law related to commercial / contract administration and labor law.
• Proficient in microsoft office.
• Proficient in Bahasa Indonesia and English, both spoken and written.
