Summary:

The work schedule for this position is: Full Time (40 number of hours per week)


Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time (+/ 4 weeks) of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

Supervisory Position: No Relocation Expenses Reimbursed: No Duties

Incumbent handles unclassified mail and pouches and is responsible for all mailroom functions. Sorts and distributes mail, processes incoming diplomatic pouches, and prepares diplomatic pouches for dispatch. Individual must transport, scan, receive and deliver, load/unload, identify and verify all incoming/outgoing APO mail and unclassified diplomatic pouches for accountability. Maintain all required paperwork. Physically move material as required utilizing dollies, hand trucks, and other similar material handling equipment. Ensure all security standards are met for proper storage and handling of registered, certified, and pouch material.


Qualifications and Evaluations Requirements:

EXPERIENCE: The position requires at least two years progressively responsible experience in general services or clerical work.

Education Requirements:
  • Completion of Secondary School (High School) is required.

Evaluations:

LANGUAGE (This may be tested): Level II (Limited Knowledge) Speaking/Reading/Writing English and Bahasa Indonesia is required.


SKILLS AND ABILITIES:


  • Good interpersonal and customer service skills.

  • Strong organization and communication skills.

  • Basic computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications are necessary.

  • Ability to lift 20 kg packages.

  • Must be able to operate independently with little oversight.

Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Bi-Mission to Indonesia and ASEAN in Indonesia, may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits.


For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.


The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
