Overview of The Role

Our sophisticated approach to risk helps client’s free up capital. We work in close concert with investors, reinsurers, and insurers to manage the equation between risk and return. The main focus is to provide the clients with a superior understanding of the risks they face, and then advise them on the best ways to manage extreme outcomes.

Major Accountabilities

  • Playing a leading role in assessing Treaty requirements
  • Work together with the Board of Director to Preparing budget for Treaty business
  • Work with the broking team, actuaries and cat modelers to analyse insurance risks on a portfolio level in order to advise clients on reinsurance treaty structures to mitigate downside risk and improve capital efficiency.
  • Negotiate and place reinsurance treaties
  • Preparing and presenting materials for Clients and Reinsurers as respects service delivery and account management
  • Coordinate and attend underwriting and claims audits of insurance clients.
  • Ensure company, market and client related documentation is issued (internally and externally) accurately and on time.
  • Comply with external and internal regulatory and statutory policies, procedures and regulation
  • Coordinate internal resources in Indonesia as well as Willis Re overseas office, such as analytics, contracts and client services to provide solutions to client(s).
  • Coordinating and attending regular client visits/meetings to ensure Client satisfaction and to gain an understanding of Clients business and operating environment
  • Administering and monitoring invoices which proceed by ceding companies
  • Improving the overall customer relationship, delivering reliable administrative support and Client service
  • Oversee and communicate with operation team in UK, Mumbai and other Willis offices team for all processing issues that relate to the placement.
  • Provide team leadership (where relevant) to maintain high levels of integrity, motivation and morale. Establish an environment that promotes WTW Values and adheres to the Policies and Guidelines


  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Reinsurance/ Insurance, Reinsurance/ Insurance Broker or Financial Services.
  • Team Leadership / ability to manage colleagues locally and virtually.
  • Experience of implementing initiatives to drive change and / or deliver operational excellence.
  • Ability to provide expert, in depth advice to client resulting in overall client satisfaction
  • Project management experience; design and coordination of action plans (and teams) to implement a shared goal.
  • Effective analysis, problem solving and communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to influence / coach / manage stakeholders across the organization to get things done.
  • High levels of Emotional Intelligence (EQ)including self-awareness, self-regulation, empathy and social skills. Actively listens – makes people feel heard and understood. Shows respect and acts in ways that builds trust and respect.
  • A strong personal desire to achieve excellence.
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and structure workload.
  • Strategic thinker who can decompose complex issues & find solutions
  • Accreditation or demonstrated knowledge of change management, process improvement, quality management or KPIs.
  • Understanding or experience of working in partnership with other support functions, e.g. Broking, Claim, HR, Finance, Risk, Compliance, Legal
  • Good working knowledge of relevant regulations.
  • Experience working with, improving and expanding local/shared service centre operations
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s level degree, preferred.
  • Experience giving presentations to clients and internal groups.
  • Computer skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Fluent English and Bahasa Indonesia
